My husband and I went for Sunday brunch at Michie Tavern but did not take the tour. The buffet at Michie Tavern is $17.50 each with 9% tax and we left a $5 tip which took the bill to about $45. This would have been OK if the food hadn't been so mediocre. You go through a very short buffet line and then sit at an open table. If you want 2nds you tell the waiter what you want and he gets it for you. You have 2 choices of chicken (fried or roasted), BBQ shredded pork that was a little sweet, canned beets, green beans (mushy), black eyed peas, real mashed potatoes, sickly sweet stewed tomatoes, rolls, dry corn bread and dessert if you want it. I feel we could have had a nice lunch somewhere else where you got waited on and the food was actually good for $45. We couldn't wait to leave as it is an eat and run kind of place.
