Description: From servicing cars to serving up fire roasted pizza, Paninis, pasta and more, (glutten-free pizza and pasta available). Fry's Spring Station is a restaurant that stays true to its service-friendly roots. The 1931 building that served as Fry's Spring Service Station for 70 years is now home to gourmet food, over 30 Italian wines, and local brews, including ales from our very own Jefferson Street Brewery. If history serves as a gauge, our version of Fry's Station is designed to be as delicious as it is service-driven.

“Overrated”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

Two visits have yielded disappointing results. The first were two take out sandwiches which were thrown into a Styrofoam tray. We had to ask for implements. The sandwiches were bone dry pannini's and not at all tasty.

The second trip involved an order of their specialty: pizza. The pizza had a thick and undercooked crust. The cheese was greasy. The appetizer mussels were way overcooked.

Service was OK with an overaggressive waitress pushing drinks.

Good luck!

“Great food, reasonable price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

This is a great place to get together with friends. That being said it is noisy and hard to carry on a discussion. Great look but the ceilings and floors are that of an old garage - they do not absorb noise.
Pizzas are great as are pastas. The greek platter appetizer is a go to as it serves several with hummus, olives, feta, pita - generous and delicious!!

“Different Pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

We appreciated the creativity here. There are a large variety of pizzas, some very interesting. The execution was not as inspired. The service was good but not great. And the food was flat. The flavored need to be sharper. So it's good, enjoyable food.

“fine place, best for pizza, but salads, and italian entrees are good too”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

let me counter & say, the 2 managers are attentive (they even help bus tables abd pour refills)-the waitstaff hs always been upbeat and great. Pizza is unique- not cardboard college kind style- excellent components.Parents, the kids menu is finite but so reasonaable & incl. Pizza, a drink and dessert. If i had a suggestion, it would be to add a few domestic whines by the glass and for the draft, the ubiquitous blue moon and bud light for those that are not craft beer types. parking is avail. @ the gas station accross after 5 pm

“Meet your friends at Fry's Spring Station.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

Great place for college kids to meet. Hope off the UVA bus and walk right in, Limited menu but was good. Noisy, right on the street. Both outside and inside dining/drinking.
