“So So place, overpriced for the property”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Outside leaves a lot to be desired. Desk help was friendly and helpful. Housekeeper was pleasant. Room was not bad, clean, comfortable bed and chairs. AC unit was difficult to get regulated but did manage to find a level between artic and tropic eventually. I repaired the toilet tank myself to prevent Niagara Falls flowing forever through the toilet. Advertises a laundry- which is located at the Days Inn across the parking lot and is padlocked closed-appears to have been vandalized recently. Rate is about double what should be charged for this particular property.

Room Tip: Two views available one is the parking lot and back of the Days Inn, the other overlooks the express...

We had to stay here because of uv graduation. The A/C unit roared like a lion and the bathroom left something to be desired. Unless you are desperate I would suggest staying somewhere else. There are a few good eating places nearby but I would suggest you stay somewhere else. The staff was friendly and efficient but the property is really run down and old. I would probably never stay tere again if I had a choice.

We paid $90 per night which I thought was about twice what it should have been. Other than the flat screen LG tv I thought I had been transported back to 1960. The room was clean but had a bit of a musty smell probably because the AC was off when we got there but it never really changed in two days. Beds and pillows were suprisingly comfortable.

They were installing a fitness room with new treadmill, bike and weights. The AC wasn't working in the room though so it was really warm.

Contential breakfast was pretty good with make you own waffles, some cerals, limited pastry, fruit, milk, juice, yogart and coffee.

We arrived for a Dr. App. in Charlottesville, VA. We called around to hotels. All were reasonable on Thursday but Friday they jumped up around $60. more. The Quality Inn had Excellent check in service. The young man ask to show us a room. He was very polite, comforting, professional, courteous and genuine. He was considerate about any noise we may have on the other side and suggested we stay on the front side. The service he gave us was a 5 star plus hotel. We had a problem with our air conditioning and he immediately moved our things to another room. Clean, roomy, nice continental breakfast, comfortable beds, nice bigger flat screen tv's, We were very pleased that we chose to stay there even though it wasn't a place we would normally stay. We will be staying again next week and we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Let them know if you need quiet room. Rooms in the front near the office are quieter.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2012 via mobile

I am very impressed by this Quality Inn. An excellent value at 72 dollars a night for a two bed non smoking. Location was easy to find. Facilities were clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a lot cleaner than I had expected and wifi and TV worked great. Carpets were frayed and it looked like at some point someone had shut a dog in the bathroom because there were scratch marks on the wall and door, but everything was still clean. Mini fridge and large flat screen TV. I will stay here again if I have the need for a hotel in the area at any point.

We spent the night here before visiting Monticello. The room was very clean, service was good, breakfast was better than some we have encountered. I felt the price was very good for the area at least for one night's stay.

We stayed here because it was the only hotel we could find during the Hurricane. We had been evacuated from the coast paid $155 for one night. Considering that the Hilton we stayed at the next night was cheaper, this price is outrageous.

The room was clean but extremely budget level. The bathroom was basic and it took two of us to get the shower to work. The A/C unit was extremely loud and we didn't get much sleep but at least it covered the noise of the dogs barking and people hanging out on the walkways smoking.

I gave this hotel an average rating because the staff were awesome. The guy on the front desk was overwhelmed with a lobby full of evacuees looking for rooms but he kept his cool and did a great job. We had a different guy during checkout and he was very friendly and checked to make sure that we would be okay for the rest of our ordeal.
