My wife and I usually try to stay at Hampton Inns, but the Hampton Inn Charlottesville was by far the best one we have ever stayed in! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and concerned about providing outstanding service.

The room was clean, very comfortable and very nicely decorated/appointed.

The breakfast bar and food selections were great from presentation to freshness and level of service from those working the area.

Can not recommend this particular hotel enough.

My wife and I stayed here earlier this month. We booked a non-smoking room with king bed. Check - in was effortless, the desk clerk was very friendly. The room was very clean though the bathroom seemed a little smaller then usual.

The hotel is conveniently located, a short ride to the university and historic sites. There are a few restaurants within walking distance.

We were very satisfied with our room and would definitely return.

This hotel is EXCELLENT!!! My family just finished a whirlwind "vacation" where we stayed at three separate hotels. I, personally, have stayed at over 100 hotels during the last ten years (easily) and this is one of the best for the money. We paid $115 a night and the rooms were GREAT!!! Ultra-clean (walking aorund with white socks no problem), they smelled great, they were spacious, the bed was VERY comfortable, the bathroom was pristine, the pull-out couch for my daughters was basically NEW.

This hotel not only had new towels out for us, but the extras were packed inside plastic wrappers in the closet!!! The lighting in the room was even set up with several lighting options!!! This place is NICE!!!

Also, the breakfast was more than I've come to expect at Hampton Inn. This is the BEST hampton Inn at which I've ever stayed, and now my wife wants to only stay at Hampton Inns!!! (and she much more refined than I am!!!!)

We stayed here for one night in Sept 2007. We have stayed here before when we are in town and it is an ok stay. Check in went by really quick which is great. Our room was clean and the ac worked just fine it was nice and cold in there. The bathroom is small like others have commented on and the floor did have long black hairs on the floor so they could do a better job cleaning but other than that no real problems. We had to get a dsl cord as the wireless was not working on the 5th floor but they were really good on helping us out with that. There are alot of restaurants by the hotel so you do not have to drive all over the city trying to find a place to eat and they do provide a small fridge and there is a grocery close by to get drinks and keep them in the room. They do provide a continental breakfast in the morning and I have to say it has gotten better as it was not really good on prior stays. We will definately stay here again on future trips.
