This was a very nice Marrott Courtyard. Our room was updated and fresh. Everything was clean and very well maintained. We had a very short stay, but an excellent experience with the staff after we left. We realized we left 2 bags, one of which was a very new digital camera. I called and was told they still had the bags and would mail them to me. Within a week I received the bags by Fedex at my home in Massachusetts. This was very impressive service by the hotel employees.

This is a nice Marriott. Location is set back from busy road so it is quiet. Staff is particularly helpful. Rooms are standard Mariott fare in good condition. Property is well taken care of. Breakfast was excellent. I found out that if I had booked on Orbitz, I would have gotten a free breakfast. In this case we had to pay. I would definitely stay here again.

As many of the previous posts indicate, the Charlottesville Courtyard is unremarkable, but perfectly fine nonetheless. There were no negatives and no overwhelming positives - a decent clean room for a reasonable price.

I was there on a business trip and stayed for one night. Overall, the property seemed well cared for.

My room had a single king-sized bed. The bed was very comfortable, though I would have liked some extra blankets in the closet when in turned cold that night.

The bathroom area was nice, clean, and well appointed. Standard Courtyard fare.

Like some of the others who posted on this site mentioned, my television was on a combination drawer/credenza beside the bed, so the viewing angle was a little odd.

My room had the de rigueur desk with lamp and high speed internet connection as well as internet viewing through the television.

While I didn't use it, the room also had a nice couch with a coffee table to relax and do some light reading. As I mentioned before, the television was placed next to the bed, so it would have been difficult to view the tv from the couch.

One thing I would have liked to have had in the room was a mini refrigerator. My group went out for dinner and I had nowhere to put my leftovers.

If I recall, my room was on the second floor. There was some ambient noise from surrounding rooms and the hallway, but nothing worth mentioning.

All of the lobby areas were very nice, clean and modern. There was a computer in the business area that had an attached printer and was equipped with high speed connection. The internet worked fine for accessing webmail and other sites.

Off the lobby were also comfortable seating areas with a nice fireplace.

Also off the lobby is the Courtyard Cafe. My package did not include breakfast and my group went out for dinners, so I did not get to sample the restaurant.

The property also had an outdoor pool, exercise room, washer and dryer, as well as ice machines and vending available on every floor.

The staff there were very helpful and unobtrusive. They provided me with everything I needed. Service was prompt and courteous.

All in all, I would recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville North to other travelers in this area. It is a standard Courtyard experience, and you get what you pay for.
