“They take good care of you!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

My husband got a job in the area and his company put us up here for 3 months. They take really good care of you here. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, and are very knowledgeable of the area. We had a one bedroom room that came complete with:

Living room: electric fireplace, pull out couch (for guests), large LG TV's (no DVD player, though, so we just plugged our computers into the TV with an HDMI cable), desk, wifi and ethernet plug in, hall closet, large windows

Kitchen: Dining table, dishwasher, full sized fridge, coffee pot, microwave, two burner stove (no oven), set of 4 dishes and silverware, various kitchen utensils and knives, pots and pans. I wish they had a crockpot since there is no oven, so I may just pick one up from a thrift store. They also don't have any storage containers, so I just picked up a multi-sized pack of glad containers. They also have a paper that you can fill out if you want them to stock your fridge for you. You fill out the paper, drop it off at the front desk in the morning, and they charge the cost of the groceries to your room.

Bedroom: Large TV (again, no DVD player), Queen sized memory foam bed (heavenly!), a 3 drawer-dresser, nightstands on each side of the bed, a sleep machine alarm clock, (no safe, though), extra blanket, sheets, and pillow (although they give you about 6 pillows to start with), closet, large windows

Bathroom: blow drier, iron and ironing board, sink, tub/shower, Paul Mitchell mini shampoo and conditioner, face soap bar, hand soap bar, mini lotion

They come twice a week to wash our sheets and replace our towels and clean the room. They even run the dishwasher if they notice things in it! The room has an individual thermostat that can even be set for a range (68 degrees, +/- 3 degrees)

Other nice features: They have a nice outdoor pool, decent fitness room, business center that is stocked with printers and paper and staplers and everything else you could need. They also have a nice meal plan, with breakfast every day including: yogurt, yogurt parfaits, eggs, potatoes, waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, a rotating additional item like french toast or biscuits and gravy, juice, coffee, and milk. They also serve dinner Monday through Thursday. We haven't tried that yet, though. They have a mini-market with snacks and drinks and microwave meals. They have a dry cleaning service. They rooms are fairly well soundproofed.

Surrounding area: Within walking distance, there is a Target, Costco, Office Depot, Party City, Starbucks, Famous Dave's, Red Robin, 7-11 (with a Redbox), and Hair Cuttery.

This has been a fantastic place to stay, and would recommend it to anyone!

We arrived at the Residence Inn Chantilly after a quick visit to DC. The hotel is conveniently located about a half hour away, and it's close to lots of restaurants (we picked one about 6 miles away). We had booked a 2-bedroom suite, which worked great for us - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a shared living room. Perfect!

Wifi worked great. The bathrooms were clean, with good water pressure in the shower. One of the bathrooms was accessible to people with limited mobility - very large, but it had a regular tub, so that didn't bother us. The other one was a regular bathroom, with a hair dryer and more counter space. The beds were comfortable, as they usually are at Residence Inn, and this hotel had king beds! We didn't really use the kitchen, except for the fridge and microwave, so can't comment on that.

As in most Residence Inns, there were lots of outlets for charging all our stuff. Breakfast was free and well stocked. At $139 for the 2-bedroom suite, this hotel is quite a bargain! I would recommend it to anyone who's travelling to the Washington DC area.

I stayed in the hotel for two nights – May 2 - 3, 2014. The place was clean and quiet which are two great qualities in a hotel. When I checked in the woman at the front desk was professional and efficient.

The hotel is very close to the Smithsonian Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center and Dulles airport. There are some nearby restaurants and a small shopping center with a Target.
I did have breakfast one morning and I thought it was decent. The Wi-Fi worked well and it was free.

The closest METRO station is the Vienna station on the Orange line. It is about a 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel and there is plenty of parking at the station.

I would stay here again.

The annual visit to family in Va. Memorial weekend 2013 stay with kids in other rooms . The kitchen is always a plus because we bring drinks and stock the fridge. Although there was some large group/ convention that filled 90% of the hotel, we did not get lost in the crowd. The front desk was most helpful to everyone. We have already made our reservations for this Year's get together !!

We were here for the annual cherry blossom in dc. This place was a good 45 minutes drive from tidal basin with some traffic, but with a good price($72/night booked online including taxes) we were happy with our stay. We has a suite with a king bed on the first floor. The room is large. The pull out sofa can sleep 2. The place had plates, bowls and utensils. microwave and 2 electric coil burners, dishwasher And a large fridge. Bed is on the soft side. Breakfast is nothing special with yogurt parfait, oatmeal, ham, potato wedges, muffins, waffle machine, scrambled eggs one day. They did start to run out towards the last hour, so you might want to get there early. Breakfast is 7-10 on weekends and 6-9 on weekdays. Checkin and out was quick and easy. Famous Dave's restaurant is just steps from this place, and target also within sight so it's very convenient. Also nice to have the air and space museum a few minutes drive away and highly recommended is the tours, where the tour guide we had was excellent!

Marriott's slogan for their chain of extended stay hotels is "It's not a room, it's a residence." And when we checked in to their property outside of DC, our family was impressed with how well Marriott lives up to that ideal.

"Free candy!" My daughter exclaimed when we entered our room. She could not believe the homey touch of a candy jar on the sitting area coffee table; she's used to hotel mini-bars that charge exorbitant prices for snacks.

Our room was modern, clean and spacious, with a good-sized kitchenette, small dining table, desk, sitting area, and flat-screen TV. Our room included a queen bed and pull-out for our daughter. The bathroom and closet were larger than we expected.

Other nice touches include a basketball court on the grounds near the pool area. This is not something we would ever use, but we saw other families enjoying this particular amenity the next morning, after we had our fill of the Residence Inn's buffet breakfast.

That breakfast was another surprise, as I was expecting a measly continental and instead discovered a full morning meal: choices included fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, muffins and both hot and cold cereal. Not too shabby,

We were pleased with our stay at the Residence Inn and look forward to staying at other properties.

This place is excellent.
Great size rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff and good facilities.
Rooms have a kitchenette and desk/office space.
Close to restaurants and shops.
Dulles airport close by as is Smithsonian Air & Space museum.
Breakfast is basic but just right without over-extravagance.
Superb value for money.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
