“Well done!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

History on display. It's amazing to see the aircraft which have made history, not just technologically but in real life in my lifetime. It's awesome to see how fragile and small the Spirit of St Louis is and to see the Enola Gay as well as the famous rockets.

“See Discovery Space Shuttle up close!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Great museum. Huge. Not only is the space shuttle here but the SR 71 Blackbird and the Enola Gay are here. Wonderful representation of aircraft from early to current times. Great guides available for tours. Don't miss the 2 floors of the Control Tower. From the top floor, you can watch planes take off and land as well as hear the actual control tower conversations. The next floor down has all the instrumentation used by air traffic controllers and an explanation of its uses.

“avoid the DC hassle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Creative displays of real aircraft, plenty of elbow room and lots of unique aeronautical history. Especially loved how close we could get to Discovery and the Enola Gay. Parking price was a bit steep at $15 per car but is comparable to parking in DC.

“If you're an aviation fan, you have to go here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Have visited several times and it is just a fabulous slice of aviation history. Beautiful aircraft, perfectly displayed.
And take a ride in one of the mock ups.
We took a ride in an F-4. It was a hoot. I was able to do 360 degree barbell rolls and my wife, the gunner, got herself two kills - one with guns and one with missiles. This thing REALLY does go inverted.
Great fun for an old pilot.
