“"Great museum with great planes"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

This museum was a must see on our holiday. As a great fan of aviation this museum gives you all. First view when you enter, is the space shuttlen "Discovery" and then the discovery of all the fantastic planes starts. The museum has it all in a fantastic "story telling" - if in the area on your holiday check this museum out:-))

“This's awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

This place is Mecca to any aviation enthusiast. I much preferred this museum to the one on the national mall just because the one on the mall is so crowded. I felt like we could take our time here. There are some truly remarkable airplanes here. Enola Gay, sr71, several last surviving examples. We took a metro bus to Dulles and caught the shuttle to the museum. It's only a couple of bucks each way for the shuttle. I highly recommend.

“Great Exhibits - Don't Miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

We had a great visit here and found it to be one of the best Smithsonian Exhibits ever!

The restrooms were woefully inadequate to the number of spectators. The only down side.

“Worth the price to park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014 via mobile

Despite the $15 parking fee, this museum is worth it! I wouldn't recommend it to those who are not interested in aviation. But, for those who are, this place is must see! Many different kinds of aircraft through all points in aviation history. The coolest things to see are the space shuttle, the Enola Gay, and the stealth bomber. My son was truly in awe. The crowds were not bad. The control tower is so so, but the wait wasn't long to get up. If you wish to see planes taking off and landing at Dulles then head on up. Other then that there is not much else up there.

“Outstanding! Don't miss this one and take a tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

We have been to the Air & Space Museum in DC and it's always been a favorite, but this museum is fantastic. One of the other reviewers suggested that we should take the tour, and that was the best advice. We spent two hours (our choice because they have shorter tours) with Bill, a former Navy pilot, who did an amazing job of explaining the many, many highlights of this museum. It was well worth our time, and I know we will be back and recommend this museum to others. I don't think it would have been as good if we hadn't taken the FREE guided tour, though, because there is so much to see, it's almost overwhelming.
Just a parking fee of $15 and extra if you want to see an IMAX movie, which we did do -- D-Day Invasion.
