“discover the Discovery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

wow- you really get to see the enola gay and all the many types of aircraft, and then you also get to see a magnificent space display- including the Discovery Shuttle. It is truly an awesome sight especially for this generation. The fact that this is FREE is incredible. Parking was $15 per car, but worth every bit.

“Worth A visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

The museum has a huge amount of aircraft on display including the Space Shuttle Discovery. They are located out by Dulles Airport, but very much worth it. Be aware that they charge $15.00 per car for parking fee, however no admission charge.... Great Value. As other reviews state, plan to spend a half day.

“AWESOME PLACE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

this is a fantastic museum! much better than the one in downtown dc. there are so many aircraft, really tells a good history of aviation. its also amazing to see the space shuttle discovery in person, I remember being a kid watching every space shuttle launch possible. the observation tower is a place I could camp out in for hours. the air traffic control exhibit with real-time radar is cool too. all the volunteers were nice & so were the security guards. we didn't take a guided tour but will next time we go, they seemed to be informational & fun.

“Great afternoon activity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Paying $15 for parking was absurd, almost so that I did not go. Otherwise, the museum was great. You can spend 30 min if you rush through it, or several hours if you take your time and read all the plaques. I definitely recommend it!

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We had an hour and a half to kill before our flight back to the UK, and this was really worth it. There must be about 100 or so aircraft on display from Concorde to the Blackbird to the Space Shuttle. The staff are incredibly knowledgable and helpful. There is a bus shuttle that runs from Dulles airport to the Museum and its only 50c each way. About $16 in a cab.
