“A great addition to the museums in the Washington, DC area”

This is one of those places in the Washington area that is a must-see and worth time it takes to drive out to see it. The collection is amazing.

“Great museum - avoid the crowds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

This museum has all the interesting exhibits of the downtown DC museum, but without the horrible crowds. It has the added advantage of being next to the Dulles runway, where you can watch planes land and take off from a replica air traffic tower.

“Wow Wow Wow...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Who would have thought that they could have so many planes and space items. Seeing the Discovery Space shuttle was awesome - just an unbelieveable feat of mankind. They also had the black hawk - awesome to see too - there are so many airplanes and space probes, satelites, missiles, etc to see - we spend over 12 hours and enjoyed every second of it. Wonderful visual learning experience.

“Great place for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Our family of six spanned ages 10 to 69 and we all enjoyed this museum. We loved seeing the different evolution of technology related to flight in living color with real planes. The highlight was the space shuttle - a real treat.

“Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This collection is amazing, totally worth a visit (or two). The parking fee is steep -- not the fault of the museum, just a result of their location on the Dulles Airport property.
