“Must Visit for Every Space and Air Enthusiast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

After visiting the National Air and Space Museum in DC, I want to get more on this visit, and decided to visit this museum, and wasnt let down one bit, i would categorise the National Air and Space Museum in DC as the appetizer and the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center as the main-course!!!
Entry is free, but charge for the car when you enter the location. the first site of the entire museum is the Blackbird, and a large display of various small and large aircrafts, and just behind the Blackbird is the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar which has the Space shuttle Discovery and other space exhibits...
One will also find one of the Air France Concorde's...also has an IMAX theatres for numerous shows...again the let down was the McDonald's as your only eating option, being a person who avoids fast food or Chain joints while travelling this was a let down...ELSE this is a must visit for every space and aviation fan...if you are travelling with young adults, do try the simulators...

“Amazing and historic aircraft”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Didn't know what to expect but this was one of our favorite attractions ever. Enola Gay, Shuttle Discovery, and many, many more incredible aircraft. Terrific docents too. The place is enormous. Be sure to see the other aircraft facility downtown too. We pan to go back and spend more time here at at other Washington, DC attractions.

“Fun with family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

One of the best Air and Space museums I've been to. Its built inside the aircraft hanger and it is massive. The kids loved seeing lots of different aircraft from the gliders to fighter jet to commercial aircraft by Pan Am and Air France concord but the highlight of our trip was the Space Shuttle Discovery. My son was running from one aircraft to another impressed with each one of them more and more. Plan to spend 2-3 hours on a hot day or very cold day. The kids will make many memories and learn some fun facts.
