“An average venue. Nothing particularly special. Nothing particularly bad except dirty restrooms with no supplies.”
The Dulles Expo Center hosts craft fairs, home shows, career fairs, trade shows, big flea markets, boat shows, hobby shows etc. This venue used to have two halls, but one was converted to a Walmart. I have attended numerous events of several different kinds in both halls, and the remaining hall is definitely the better of the two original halls.
This place is average. Usually the display floors are reasonably clean. The trash cans spread throughout the show floors are emptied from time to time. The restrooms often become very dirty during shows--particularly the busy shows--and they are neither kept clean nor are the paper and soap supplies replenished in a timely manner. This has been the case for the past couple decades or so since I have been attending events at Dulles Expo Center.
The food outlet serves okay food that is overpriced because they've got a lock on the concession. It's better to walk to one of the nearby fast food or casual dining joints.
Access has improved hugely since Virginia DOT completed highway work on Route 28.
Parking is much better now that the Expo Center (or maybe Walmart?) has invested in additional parking spaces. If you attend a very popular show, though, expect to have to drive into the nearby industrial park to find street parking.
