We stayed here for a family wedding weekend and were very pleased. The rooms were clean/comfortable, the food very good (although, sometimes the service was a little slow oddly when there were less people in the restaurant), and the staff was very accommodating of our requests. Thanks to Christine Shipe for her help and to the front desk staff who arranged our block of rooms to be close together. I also enjoyed using the gym.

BTW, I believe this would be a nice place to hold a business conference. It is a large space!

The hotel is wonderful & very relaxing experience. It is a prefect place for a conference or a wedding. Rent a car there isn't anything within walking distance. You can take the bus(fair fax connector) which stops right outside the hotel & it will take you to the Vienna metro station. From there you can go to DC with out the traffic. But make sure you get from DC by 6 to get the last bus back to the hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the first floor it will closer to everything which would be less walking.

I am glad to hear you found both the buses and metro to be an efficient way of getting to and from the city because we know traffic can sometimes be a hinderance for guests who wish to visit Washington DC. Let me be the first to say that the staff at this hotel was among the best in the business. Rebecca Bright, the front desk clerk, made sure that anything we needed was attended to. Moreover, she and her staff made us feel welcome. Their attitudes and dispositions were nothing less than pleasant and kind every single day. We had a conference of over 300 high school age kids for three weeks and she and her coworkers made us feel at home and a part of the Marriott family. Many kudos to them for managing our expectations and going above and beyond the call of duty everyday.

So glad we stayed here. This hotel is awesome. It is beautiful, rooms are super clean and very comfortable. We had room service which was fantastic. We ate at the hotel, Wellington's, that is located in the hotel, food was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, really pretty wooded lot with walking trails right there. Large rooms, was very comfortable. Will stay here again. Wonderful place.

The hotel and grounds are well maintained. The staff is excellent - courteous and professional! This hotel is obviously very well managed. The room was also very clean and neat. Everything worked well. There is a good restaurant and bar off of the lobby. The food was very good, and the service was exceptional.

Beautiful conference center, but a lousy hotel. The set up here is to park your car and not go anywhere for a week or so, as there are many groups here of all ages and types, all doing business meetings and conferences. As such, they don't seem to think about or care about Marriott loyalty members at all. No one there when I checked in to help with bags or the car (parking lot is not next to hotel like most Marriotts, and there's not basement parking). No newspaper at my door each morning, though I'm a Premier Platinum Elite member, and everyone else in my hall had them. And I know most of them weren't even loyalty members.

Poor service in the morning restaurant, only had my coffee refilled (no chance to get it yourself, all gloved waiter service) two out 5 mornings. Was never asked if I wanted my juice refilled. A buffet otherwise, thank heavens, or I would not have eaten much, I'm sure.

Internet did not work in my room, though it showed up on the list of wireless services. Seems to be a problem in many Marriotts these days, as they've changed to 802.11 only. And no wired internet in the room at all, and no lobby Wi-Fi. You have to pay for internet usage, printing and faxing in the business center, and it's not cheap. Whereas in most Marriotts it's free. Along with Hiltons and Hyatts. So don't know what they're thinking with that.

It's a gorgeous hotel, and the rooms are nice (though you HAVE to walk in though the lobby, no side entrances that have key locks, so if you walk out, you can't get back in), but just not really a regular hotel. Too bad, really.

My wife and I have been to this hotel several times. Every visit has been better than the last! The setting is beautiful and so restful- lovely secluded wooded grounds that make you forget how close to the heart of DC you really are. We have been very fortunate to deal with one of the managers, Rebecca Bright, on our last three visits. She has been so generous and gracious. We couldn't ask for more " perks". In fact, when she heard that we were coming back again last weekend with our friends, she arranged for us to be upgraded to the presidential suite, a huge bedroom living room, separate wetbar area, two bathrooms, and a private porch. And our friends had an adjoining room as well. What a great stay! The pool area is relaxing, the newly renovated bar/ restaurant is inviting, and the entire staff is always helpful and friendly. We recommend the Westfields Marriott to all our friends in Maryland who are looking for a weekend getaway without the long drive and hassle of the beach traffic.

Room Tip: All good rooms. No noisy spots.
