Came here because the restaurant recently advertised in the Westfield High School Choral Program and offered a 25% discount on food. We brought our 3 teenage kids. This is a bar with a restaurant. There was a lively patio happy hour going on when we got there. There are half a dozen tables away from the bar which we were sat at. However, by 7:00 p.m. they started playing poker at the table next to us. Not the best atmosphere to take a family and this was a Tuesday night.
With that being said -- we did think the food was pretty good but it is not Southwestern Mexican or Tex-Mex that I am accustomed too. Who ever heard of BBQ port fajitas or enchiladas? But I heard the fajitas were tasty. I got the cheese enchiladas and they were surprisingly very good and the ranchero sauce was also good. The rice was too tomato based and not the typical Mexican rice. One daughter loved the onion rings although they look like they are frozen. The chips and salsa were yummy. I was disappointed in the frozen margarita, especially being a Tequila Bar. And our server was a bit slow and had to be reminded to refill out water glasses. I might go here again for an adult evening since the food was pretty good and the best Mexican I have found in Virginia so far. But definitely not the right atmosphere for the kids.
