“Wanted to stay another night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

Our first experience in a B&B and the bar has been set! Donna and Greg provided a wonderful stay in their beautiful house. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We hope to be back when we can make use of the gas fireplace and explore Cape Charles. Greg was nice enough to have breakfast ready for us a bit earlier than advertised-we didn't get to indulge in as many muffins as we would have liked to save room for the great breakfast! Look forward to a return stay.

These guests stayed in our Chesapeake Room - my personal favorite! Not a problem at all to do an early breakfast for these guests. We know we are a stop over for many guests traveling on to somewhere else, so if we can help get you on the road earlier, we are happy to do so.

The most hospitable bed and breakfast I have ever been too. Clean, warm, beautiful, excellent breakfast, and Donna and Greg are amazing. They turned an old house into an amazing work of art. The best value I have ever had at a bed and breakfast. What an immaculate place. The decor is just beautiful and it was a warm welcoming.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms at this B&B. Very quiet street and just a few blocks from town. Great lo...

Bob and I stayed at the Fig Street Inn recently and Bob said he'd never stay in a hotel again! Our room was just wonderful and the jet tub was a real treat. Our wonderfully dressed bed felt just like our bed at home. I can't think of anything Donna and Greg could have done to make our stay more pleasant. Donna gave us some names of nice restaurants in the area and we ended up at Kelly's Pub and the meal was a delight. Greg was up early and made some decaf coffee for me as soon as he saw me moving around. What a wonderful family and what a wonderful way to end our vacation. Thank you both.

PS: Our room and the whole inn was spotless!!

Another walk-in guest who were a treat to host. Love your pictures in front of the inn. Many of our guests are first time b&b'rs and we're glad you chose Fig Street Inn to join the "club".

To say this is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed at would be an understatement!! Donna and Greg were amazing from the moment we arrived. The private entrance for our room was a nice feature that we really enjoyed. The best part of the B&B, aside from the innkeepers and beautiful house, was the made to order breakfast that was served daily. Starting with the wonderful coffee and HOMEMADE muffins to the nice chats with the innkeepers at the finish, it could not have been more perfect. We will return...many times I am sure! I could go on about how every aspect of the Inn is well thought out and spectacular, but I think you need to go and see for yourself.

Room Tip: The Barnegat Room is located on the first floor of our bed and breakfast with private entrance. This...

Amazing is the perfect word to describe this couple. They spent 4 nights and were so much fun - fun to talk with, and fun in that they used their time here to relax and enjoy Cape Charles, but also to explore many of the small towns along the Eastern Shore. Thank you for all your wonderful compliments while you were here and for posting this great review.

My daughter and I were nearing the end of our first vacation together, and decided rather than heading inland back toward Ohio, we would look for a quaint little town north of Virginia Beach for one more night on the coast. As we drove through Port Charles, we happened to drive by the Fig Tree Inn. I was immediately drawn to the architecture of the house, the white wooden fence and the cute Fig Tree Inn logo. The attention to detail continued on the inside of the house as well, with charming furnishings, earthy colors, and lots of spaces to sit and relax. I was most impressed with the welcome we received from Greg and Donna, the owners of the inn. I felt as though they were old friends greeting us back from a long trip. They both are down-to-earth, friendly, and helpful! They told us about the area, and even found out the traffic situation heading back to Ohio before we left, saving us countless hours sitting in back-ups (in addition to a map-quest print-out which was also so helpful). I hope that we can one day stay there again, as it was the most perfect ending to a great vacation!

We are so happy we had one more room available the day these guests came to our doorstep. They were so friendly and full of life and we had a great time talking with them. We hope they'll have many more years of mother/daughter trips together and may we be fortunate enough to have our paths cross again.

The character of the Inn is lovely. The furnishings are comfortable. The breakfast was scrumptuous. The hot variety of muffins unexpected. Thank you for the attention to detail. We will be back soo, I hope!
I've already recommended the Inn to several friends.
Come visit.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the first floor queen bed room.

This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable trips I have been on in years! Donna and Greg were absolutely wonderful hosts and staying at the Inn really made the trip.
The Inn was gorgeous and the grounds were beautiful. Breakfasts were so delicious and waking up to the smells of pancakes and bacon (just one of the meals provided) made the whole experience feel like staying with good friends.
I would most definitely recommend this location to anyone making a trip to Cape Charles and I will no doubt be a returning visitor.
