was that after looking at 4 different rooms, which all were dirty and even though they claimed were all renovated were shabby. another couple was doing the same as we....trying to find something acceptable. we couldn't. the good thing was that the front desk person allowed us to a full credit. at least the help had some class.

Although still going through renovations what was somewhat apparent upon my arrival. I found the Kiptopeke Inn to be a clean and tidy abode aside route 13. The suites were clean and well maintained, service and staff were friendly, and I’ve stayed at a few places on the eastern shore over the past few years. I have to say this was one of the best.

Recently stayed here, facilities were very clean and orderly. Continental breakfast, which I was told is to be opened this summer looks very promising. One of the better hotels in the Eastern Shore.

I didn't read the other reviews of this hotel until after I had been there. I am glad I didn't read the reviews; if I had I would not have gone. They are in the middle of a renovation and only had half the hotel available. The renovated rooms although not 5 star they are a good 4 star. When the restaurant opens it will be a first class establishment. The furniture and TV's were more along the lines of a Marriott Hotel. The wireless internet service was quick and they had multiple access points around the hotel so connectivity was never a problem. They even have a computer available for guest use. Seeing is believing.
