We stayed at the Bridgewater B&B for our first wedding anniversary. We stayed in the "Inn". Our quarters were clean and cozy and included a small kitchen, living room area, bath and bedroom with a King size bed. Breakfast was very good and we always had a choice (french toast, omlettes, biscuits & gravy, etc.). I would recommend you purchase any drinks/groceries you may need for your stay. With breakfast we only got one OJ. The furnishings were old-fashioned and the inn is definitely pet-friendly. Our rooms had a bit of a dog musty smell. The B&B does have a hot tub, but since it's in a communal area, we didn't feel it was private enough to use. Pros were big comfy bed and kitchenette. Cons were no cable TV in bedroom (just DVDs) and the hot tub. Bridgewater is a very SMALL town, but we enjoyed eating at Francescos which literally is one block from the B&B. 2 wineries are close by; CrossKeys and Barren Ridge. This B&B is in the Shenadoah Valley, not the mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive is about 30 minutes away, Charlottesville about an hour. This B&B is good for older couples or anyone needing a place to stay for Bridgewater College or JMU. Not recommended for younger guests.
