Came to Virginia Tech for the New Cadet Parade. The Staff was very courteous and professional. The rooms were well kept, clean and inviting. Would love to stay again.

I had a great stay at the Inn at Virginia Tech. True this hotel doesn't include breakfast, etc., but you can't beat the location if you want to be near the campus and downtown, and best of all the rooms were quiet. There were several weddings going on the weekend we were there, and we didn't hear a peep from the other rooms (even though we were staying on the same hall).

Dear sdveggie, thank you for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed your stay at the Inn. While we don't have a continental breakfast, we do offer packages where breakfast is inclusive as well as a substantial hot buffet in Preston's for guests to enjoy. Thank You again for staying with us and we hope you stay with us next time you're in Blacksburg.

To be honest this was one of the worst experince in a hotel I ever had. When I made reservations I put all rooms on one card. That did not happen. Check in was a night mare and Check out was even worse. I stayed at a hotel nearby last year and got better service for less money. I will never stay there again. No mini frig or microwave. My whole group was not happy.

I stayed at the Inn at VT in April. I was in to visit campus for the 4/16 memorial and participate in the 5k. My brother had booked this hotel due to its reasonable rate and location to campus. I have to say that overall the hotel is Ok. Nothing special. The hotel is gorgeous from the outside, but the interior is mediocre. The most glaring issue was the lack of service. Our room was not cleaned on 2 occasions. We had to call several times before the room was cleaned. Upon complaining, they did try to make things right, but I would be wary when looking to book this hotel. Being a VT alumni, I hate the fact that VT's name is currently associated with a hotel that does not offer top of the line service.

The hotel is on the edge of campus so it is very convenient for a visit. It is one of the newer hotels in the area, and is adorned in Hokie Stone. However, I was very disappointed with the staff and cleanliness. The staff was not friendly as you would expect in Blacksburg. The worst part of the visit was when I got up at midnight for a drink of water. I grabbed a coffee cup and filled it in the dark so i would not wake the wife. I drank...and it tasted like hot chocolate. The cup was dirty and had stuff caked in the bottom. I looked at the other cups and another one was also dirty. This hotel costs too much to not have clean glassware in the room. Last time I stayed here there were hairs in the shower that were not mine. I have also stayed in other area hotels and they were just as clean or cleaner but cheaper.

We stayed here so my son could take a tour of Va. Tech. The location is excellent, on the edge of the campus. The grounds are big enough so that the hotel is quiet, but there's a convenient large shopping plaza less than a mile away, with a 24-hour grocery store.
