“For pub grub, this place is very good.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

Living in a college town usually means that your options for restaurants is mainly bar food. Sharkey's is a bit different. At lunch, they have a salad bar that comes with baked potato, 4 different kinds of soups and chili, as well as breadsticks and dessert. All for a very low price. The deck seating in the back is awesome for people watching, and they have specials every day of the week. Great place in the summer when the students are away, or over the holiday break when they are out of town and it's not so crowded. Decent service too.

“Great bar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013 via mobile

Our bartender, Grayson, was very fast, handled multiple orders at one time, and seems to enjoy making people happy while he is working. Overall, his drinks, shots and beers he poured were very satisfying! Whenever you come to Sharkey's, ask for him by name. You won't be disappointed!

“Lunch during gametime on a Saturday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

The food was tasty for typical bar food but the service was very slow. We were there during a tech football game so a large group of people all got to the restaurant at the same time and all ordered at once and slammed the kitchen with orders. The manager came out to apologize and the food came out shortly after we talked with him.

Overall the food was good and I would recommend going but not during game times.

“Cheapest drinks in town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

This is a great watering hole, especially late at night. Always a bit crowded, and always a bit noisy, but the drink specials make you ignore all that :-)

“Smells as bad as the food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

If you are looking for a dive to drink beer and watch a game, it might be fine. But, not a good place to enjoy food and it smells like a frat house after a triple kegger. Our salad was wilted and tasteless, the good took forever to come out even though they weren't busy. Our server didn't seem to care to be there. The bison burger wasn't anything special, and the chicken Caesar wrap was soggy and lacked flavor. Disappointed because when I ate therea year ago I thought everything was very good. Very overpriced - $40 for 2 sandwiches, a mixed drink and a beer.
