After reading some of the reviews on this hotel, I was skeptical about staying here. However, I was pleasantly surprised! All of the staff is extremely kind and helpful. We spoke with Mike at the front desk a few times and he was always very polite and was extremely knowledgeable about the area, as well as Wyndham (we asked him about another property that we had chosen not to stay at).

The AC in the room is very loud and the walls are fairly thin. However, I was able to sleep wonderfully. The room wasn't spot-clean, but I didn't feel like it was unsanitary by any means. There were no bugs at all; we even checked under the mattress for bed bugs. Nothing. Also, we requested a nonsmoking room and did not bring a pet. I have pretty bad allergies to both, but our room didn't even have a hint of smoke or pet scent. It was great!

We originally booked for one night so that we could switch hotels if need be, but we ended up staying at this hotel for our entire stay in Blacksburg. The location, staff, and hotel were great!

We were traveling with our pets to stay with our son and wife, when all of a sudden their power went off in their house, which is on a well and all electric. When we looked up pet friendly hotels, this one was on the list. We also remembered that this is the hotel we booked for our stay at his graduation, which at the time, I had read not really good reviews. We were very pleasantly pleased with this hotel! It was very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. I am so relieved that it is going to be a nice hotel for us to stay at during the graduation!
