“Lovely inn in the heart of downtown!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

First time staying here while in town for a girls weekend. Such a friendly experience! The staff was so gracious and genuine no matter how many times we went through the lobby The room itself was precious, had a separate sitting room to sit and have coffee without being confined to the bed. Also really enjoyed the space outside of the bathroom to get ready. Loved the cupboard space and hidden microwave- felt less like a hotel room and more like a studio. We were there on the weekend so no construction was going on. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is upon check in I found leftover food in the fridge which I simply threw away but the rest of the stay was perfect

Room Tip: Even room # are the ones furthest away from temporary construction

We thought the Inn on Main street was an outstanding place to stay. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of Blacksburg, in walking distance to restaurants, the Virginia Tech campus, and local shops. The welcoming lobby offers coffee, apples or candy as well as comfy sofa and chairs. Desk staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was really a suite with a small sitting area, good size bath and smallish bedroom. Our only annoyance was how sound traveled through the walls from the room next door. Luckily this was caused by a rambunctious child who went to sleep at an early hour. After a long day of driving, we enjoyed walking to past street musicians to sample restaurants only a few blocks away. Highly recommended.

Above and beyond all other - THE PERFECT location. If cost ever comes into consideration, I think of all the cab rides I don't have to make happen. Also, literally the best mattress I have ever slept on.

We arrived for a wedding and was given a room across from a noisy elevator. Even more disappointing was that the room was literally ON a construction site. A dump truck was working so close to the window, I could reach out and touch it. When I called to complain, she told me they stop working at 3 every day. I called her at 7pm. They told us they didn't have another room, but when we said we'd like to leave, they suddenly not only found one, but gave us a small discount for the inconvenience. Once settled into our new room, it was fine. Like others have commented, the walls were thin, but my white noise app took care of that. The bed was comfortable and there's a small extra room with a couch that is a nice touch. The location of the hotel is convenient with the Virginia Tech campus within walking distance and they provide free parking at a garage across the street.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from construction and the noisy elevator.

I have stayed here twice. It is a very nice hotel, but on the pricey side. I am going to try a couple other local hotels in the future when I travel to Blacksburg. Walking distance to campus and many local restaurants and shopping.

I checked in on Tuesday 2/18 to a warm greeting from a great staff. The lobby is excellent and furnished extremely well which made it very relaxing and welcoming to someone coming in with a 6 hr drive. The ladies at the front counter were quick to make some recommendations for some great spots to eat within walking distance. The rooms are fine and the beds are great, they even use nice linens on the beds. I hope to stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for parking ahead of time or you will have to spend 15 minutes finding a spot in the parking dec...

As a spontaneous weekend trip with friends, we discovered this quaint European style hotel perfectly located in the heart of Blacksburg. Accommodations were a comfortable suite for every couple and a cozy lobby with fireplace. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We could walk to every place we wanted to go on this frigid weekend in February. Kudos....and we'll be back!
