Gillie's is a landmark of Blacksburg, first opening in the 1970s. They have great, and large, breakfast items that run well beyond the usual pancakes and waffles, thought they have that s well. The breakfasts and lunches are mostly vegetarian (they have some fish dishes and seafood). There are quite a few vegan options on the menu as well.
Many evenings have live music playing. It can be a bit loud for trying to carry on a private conversation, but it is usually not too bad. And some of hte acoustic acts that play here are pretty good.
For breakfast I like the vegan Red Earth, which is potatos, tofu, salsa and more. My wife likes the frittata, and the 122, which is eggs (or tofu), potatos and toast, with coffee.
