“We loved our stay at Vanquility Acres Inn---it is a great quiet getaway !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2009

We absolutely love the Inn. The view of the Peaks of Otter and the land surrounding the Inn is a must see. Ellen, the Owner, works hard at seeing that everything you could possibly need or want is there for you to enjoy !! We enjoyed being close enough to Lynchburg to go there for the day but far enough away to go back to the peace and quiet of the decks surrounding in this home. We will most definately visit in the Fall when the view of the fall foliage will be the best. !!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern B and B near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lovely mountain views and room was very, very clean, comfortable and cutely decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. Innkeepers, John and Ellen were extremely welcoming and accommodating: Ellen even took requests for breakfast serving her own homemade preserves and honey with delicious food. She definitely has a talent for making you feel right at home! We would strongly recommend this B and B and hope to return soon.

Never fully knowing what to expect we came away with a desire to return if only for the company of John and Ellen. She is warm and friendly and he is a hoot. The accomodations were well appointed and immaculate. Ellen's attitude about the well being of her guests and the experience of their stay are utmost in her mind. In addition, she goes the extra mile in serving each guest at the hour they arise as opposed to a set time for breakfast. Just off the Blue Ridge Pkwy, their view is outstanding.

We just returned from a visit to the Bedford, VA area and were delighted to have spent one of our nights at the Vanquility Inn in Bedford. The accommodations were very nice and the hospitality was great. John and Ellen were great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Their beautiful home and its view of the Peaks of Otter was well worth the trip. They made us feel very welcome and at home. Ellen has added all of the special touches that made our stay one to remember!

We really enjoyed our stay at Vanquility Acres Inn from Oct. 14 thru Oct. 17. Located just outside the City of Bedford, Virginia and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Innkeepers, Ellen and John Everett, were just great hosts during our stay, and we could not have asked for more. From the view of mountain peaks off of the back deck, to the wonderful Nubian goats that they raise, it is just a wonderful place to go and relax. We had a group of 10 people, and all of them expressed what a great time they had. Ellen is a wonderful cook, and it was a treat each morning to see what she was going to come up with. I highly recommend you consider them on your next getaway.

I recently stayed at the Vanquility Acres Inn with my husband and a group of friends. This was our third year in a row and I can't imagine not returning!

The view from our beautiful room was of the Peaks of Otter and in front of these a lovely pond and animals grazing.

The rooms were beautifully appointed with lovely furniture and whimsical accesories.

Breakfasts were not for the weight watchers. They were gourmet but also contained less fattening offerings.

I musn't forget the Inn Keepers who were so friendly, and did everything possible to make our stay pleasant.

Lastly, it is situated in Beautiful Bedford County which is a treat in itself.

We just returned from our third annual visit to the Vanquility Inn in Bedford, Va. We chose this Inn for a reunion of friends from N.C and Conn. We live in Norfolk. The owner does not forget a thing as far as making your stay an above average experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and spotless! The setting is lovely and tranquil. Ellen does not miss a thing as far as the extraordinary breakfasts - they are healthy and delicious - there is no need to think about lunch!

We plan to return for our next reunion - we always leave refreshed.
