“Still Going Strong”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

After Irene's destruction, it was questionable whether Jerry's Deck Bar would survive for another season, the good news is that it has. Last weekend when it opened it was as good if not better than its been. Same faces, friendly servers, bartenders and of course Jerry himself presiding over the place (when he's not in the back making salads)
There's still a great assortment of appys and entres to enjoy, most grilled outside while you watch. My favorite is the Jarry Burger - a nice large sized burger on a great bun with all the fixings plus a portion of pasta salad. Its probably the best burger I've had.
So if you want to have a relaxing meal or snack in a casual outdoor setting while visiting the area this is the place I'd suggest.

“They cater to locals......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2011

Very expensive....$13.00 for a just a burger and then $4.00 for fries??? Please... Ribs were just okay but a half stack for $23.00 that is totally insane. Seating on deck is tight. The crew at the bar are locals and very loud and annoying. They seem to cater to locals and not to actual paying customers.

“refreshing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

Stopped by the bar to get a beer and watch some soccer. It couldn't have been better. Easy parking in the lower lot, great staff and beautiful view. We didn't stay for dinner because of other plans but the burger/brew for $12 and 1/2 price apps are good deals!

My wife and I dined ther and were very pleased with the food and the service. The view of the river from the deck was very nice.

“RUDE, UN-WELCOMING”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2010

Our party of seven arrived at Jerry's deck on a Friday evening in late September at approximately 8:30 pm. We had a newborn baby asleep in a stroller... The host looked our way and told us to "pack it up." At first we thought he was talking to a waitress about some left-overs, but when he pointed to the stroller and said it again we knew we weren't welcome. Strollers are not allowed!! Since when is it okay to discriminate against children? Our group left and went to J's Ribs just down the road... a little more casual than we were looking for, but the wait staff and employees were truly delightful and welcoming (plus, the ribs were to die for!)
