“Great 4 - Night Stay in the Summer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

I stayed at the Vintage Motel from July 29 to August 1, 2012. The room was basic but clean. The owner treated my boyfriend and I very well and provided information Our dog was in heaven, running around the large expanse of land out back. I enjoyed morning coffee while my boyfriend opted for juices, teas, coffee cake and cereals. We did not have time to use the grill located out back for guests.

The Motel is about a 5 minute drive from the town center. We went canoeing on the reservoir and hiking at Lake Raponda, both within a 15 minute drive from the motel. We also had the luxury of parking right in front of our room.

Great stay and memorable times!

Overall, I'd highly recommend this place. Stayed for the July 2012 Tough Mudder BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP. It was the only place within a 30-minute drive of Mt Snow where a 3-person stay was going to be <$200...and it turned out to only be about a 15-minute drive. (And the walk to the center of Wilmington / Mt Snow shuttle is only about a mile, to boot.)

And for the price, The Vintage Motel absolutely exceeded my expectations. Room was clean, owners were extremely warm, courteous, and happy to accommodate - they knew about the event and encouraged us to call and wake them earlier-than-usual if we needed a headstart on the eggs, carbs, and coffee. They dutifully respond to feedback, too, as the generic cereals one past reviewer complained about were nowhere to be found - it was all officially branded General Mills, Quaker, etc. as far as the eye could see. Two dudes at another table were having a pretty good debate on the merits of Frosted Mini-Wheats vs. Apple Jacks (both available) as race food. And the coffee even tasted decent black.

The only real drawback was the lack of AC, which made it difficult to sleep in the July heat before the race. But they did supply us with a 3-speed tabletop fan.

My boyfriend and I had every intention of driving to this motel after riding at Mount Snow this winter. However, during the only snowstorm of the winter we had to cancel and ride closer to home. The staff at this hotel was extremely understanding, even when I had to reschedule for a second time. We finally made it to the Vintage Motel this past weekend and am glad we made the trip. Our room was clean and comfortable and we even got some bagels and coffee before heading out. The owners made sure to come chat to all the patrons eating breakfast. We felt very welcomed and will definitely be returning in the winter, storm or not!

After reading some of the reviews, we weren’t quite sure what to expect when staying at the Vintage Motel. I called ahead of time to place the reservation. The owner was pleasant and accommodating. When we got to the motel, we were warmly welcomed, there were no problems with the check-in, and we given a bunch of information (directions to the room, breakfast in the morning). Our room was really cute, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Though we didn’t partake in the breakfast, they had a wide variety of cereals, English muffins, bagels, and a cake. I would definitely come back to the Vintage Motel and would recommend it to anyone passing through.

What a cute bed and breakfast. It is always nice to stay in quaint places when on a long weekend trip as opposed to staying at overpriced hotels. We were deciding between either renting a house for the weekend but at the last minute decided to stay at the Vinage Motel. We couldn't of make a better choice. The owner was welcoming and heartwarming. Made our stay very comfortable and we were close to town which was an extra bonus. I would recommend the Vintage Motel if you are looking for nice, quite, clean place to stay while in Wilmington. :)

I love Vermont and I am so glad that my boyfriend and I decided to stay at the VIntage Motel. This may sound strange but the place was CLEAN and because it was clean we felt COMFORTABLE. :) That is huge in my book. We just couldn't of been happier. What was also great was that it was right down the street from town. Most places in Vermont you have to drive a great deal to get to town. Vintage Motel is convienent nice and I would definetly recommend it to others.
