“Great food and great beer and cider list”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

We actually were at the Vermont Tap House on opening night (and were the first table when they opened). The beer and cider menu was great and my wife and I enjoyed several regional offerings in a flight.

The food was good with a great cheese plate and good pizza offerings. Our pizza on our first visit was very good, but the crust was slightly over cooked. Our second visit that was not the case. The service was excellent and the food was good as well. We highly recommend a stop here for great food and drinks.

“The Tap House looks like a winner.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013 via mobile

I'm betting that no one who visits the Tap House will miss the old Ponderosa! We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was moderately busy. Our server was very helpful and his recommendations were spot-on. We selected a couple of pizzas and drafts. Pizzas were good...somewhere between a thin and thick crust. The beers were fresh and as good as we could have hoped for. The only disappointment was that our appetizer (artichoke dip) actually took longer to arrive than the pizzas...arriving at the same time as the pies! Our server had made several trips to the kitchen to speed the appetizer along, to no avail. That minor issue aside, we'll return to the Vermont Tap House.

“Great Beer Options”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Very new, nice setup. Service was very attentive. We sat up by the bar and had a great view of the whole restaurant. The beer selection is excellent they have beers on tap from many local breweries as well as regional and national. Great options from Ipas, Ales, Sasions, Porters and Stouts. Even had a Dunkel.... The food menu is wood fired pizza and sandwiches and appetizers. We had one of the large pizzas and it was very tasty and plenty for two to three people. It isn't the least expensive pizza and beer you will find. I would return though as food was excellent and sourced with local ingredients and the beer was top notch.

Great Buffalo wings, service was great and what a beer selection! Our first time there. Nice server, not too loud for such a big place. Clean and good food

“Great alternative to corporate chain restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

The point is local. Beers. Veges. I like to eat clean local food. Beer selection was good. We had a Trapp dark, an oatmeal Stout, a Pilsner and I even had a Raspberry beer for dessert. Salad was of local greens.
Pizza was of known origin ( I only eat that kind) sundried tomatoes, carmelized onions. It could have been cooked a tiny bit more, but the chewy was pleasant and it was better than over cooked - which I seem to get at other trendy places lately. Staff was gracious but energetic and the manager came by... We were really happy here. The vibe was authentic and upbeat and I am rooting for them to succeed. I think they have a hit.
