“Worth The Wait”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

I had been trying to exchange into this resort with my timeshare week for quite a while. It was worth the wait. Easy to get to. Valet parking. Cars returned freshly rinsed! Easy and fast check in. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a CLEAN two bedroom for four people with about 800 sq ft. of living space. Loft had private bathroom and plenty of closet space. VERY comfortable beds! Kitchenette was adequate for our needs. This is a ski in/out with ski valet. Fantastic mountain for skiing. Well groomed. Easter week was slow so no lift lines. Restaurants on site were very good. Loved Cousins for lunch. Hot tub apres ski was enjoyable.
Some really good restaurants in town. 1846 Tavern was excellent. Nonnas at The Sawmill also great. Sticky Fingers Bakery had the best blueberry muffins I ever tasted. Not much else to do in town. Wilmington is nearby with some stores. Manchester Outlet Mall was worth the trip probably because it was the beginning of April and there were some bargains to be had.
All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable vacation and I would gladly return earlier in the season for more skiing!

Room Tip: ask for mountainside view

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us. We are glad to hear that we were "worth the wait" and that you were able to enjoy alot of what the local area has to offer. The ski conditions were stellar this spring and we are happy that you were able to take in a few last runs with us. We hope to see you again next ski season.

My room was comfortable, quiet, and clean, although by no means deluxe. I was attending an event during weekdays. An adequate dinner was served in the dining room, and sandwiches and salads could be purchased in an onsite shop for lunch. Because of its location, a car for transportation is a must.

We stayed at the Grand Summit from 3/22/13-3/24/13. The resort hotel is beautiful. The studio we were in was perfectly clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent! They helped make things easy. We did not use all the amenities because we were really there to ski. However, if you were to stay here with non skiers it looks like between the gorgeous little areas to sit and enjoy the fire or views, the hotel amenities, area restaurants and shopping, there is something for most people! For us the skiing was fantastic- the ski check was so convenient! Just ski down toward the main base and right to the ski check. We found it convenient to come in and have lunch on Sat. when it was really crowded at the main lodge.
They even packed my car at the end of our visit so I could go off and ski with my husband. One little tip is to understand they can be very busy at check out time so plan on some time for valet help. We really enjoyed our stay here. We are very likely to return!!

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view. The studio has a little kitchen which we found very convenient!

We spent the weekend at the Grand Summit at Mount Snow. Great location for skiing in a pretty decent hotel. Service was quite good including valet parking (I left my phone in the car and they quickly retrieved it for me).
The price also included lift tickets for the weekend which was quite reasoanble given the location and the fact it was holiday weekend.
My only complaint would be the rooms are somewhat utilitarian (linoleum floors) and had no chair which makes putting the ski boots on a bit challenging.
Hotel has a small arcade (good for the kids), restaurant/bar, deli and a ski shop all of which make it quite convenient

Room Tip: Combine the lift ticket with the hotel reservation for good savings

I stayed at the Grand Summit from 3/17/13- 3/20/13. What a wonderful place! I have been looking at most of the reviews and wasn't so sure about this place... But the moment I walked in I had a good feeling. Our room was on the third floor and was great. There were 2 clean beds and a pull out couch in our suite. The full kitchen was a wonderful thing too. Left overs and perishables were kept in the fridge and heated up for lunch the next day. My family did eat at Harrimans 2 of the nights. Kory our waiter for both nights, was excellent. He was very friendly. Also I don't recall the name but a sweet girl from Brooklyn New York gave all the 4 kids chocolates and stickers while we were checking in. It was truly ski in and ski out. Although the first lift open mid-week was the bluebird, you could easily go up a set of steps and ski partly down. For ski in, you go right to the back to the ski check, (one of my favorite parts of the resort) and put your equipment down. We took advantage of that many times for lunch. The valet service was convenient too. You drive up, they take the car, and you don't have to worry at all. 2 of the days we ate breakfast at the deli. It was great! Every thing you wanted was there. The people working were nice also. The pool and health club were fantastic. Great after a day of skiing or riding the slopes. The exercise room was nice too. Some from our group went and enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and helped us at all times. Some of the reviews gave it no justice. My whole family enjoyed it and would come here again anytime

We rented 2 suites for the 3 generations that included 6 kids ages 5 - 11! The staff was very helpful and we actually felt that they liked seeing the kids, no signs of frustration anywhere. We had a wonderful week skiing, swimming in the pool and playing in the arcade. The kids want to make this trip " a family tradition!" Good job done by the staff, we are very pleased.

Room Tip: Because we were 10 in all, the larger suites were great, especially the bedroom with 2 bunks sleepin...

I have stayed at the Grand Summit multiple times during my annual visits to Mount Snow. You simply cannot beat the location, as it is right on the mountain. The rooms are always clean and well-maintained and the staff is always extremely helpful. The only drawback here is how big the hotel is. If you are planning on leaving your room in your ski boots, you may have a bit of a hike through the hotel depending on where you room is. Also, the Grand Summit Express lift isn't always running (typically only runs on the weekends), so you may have to hoof it over to the Bluebird Express. This is a very minor detail, and is in no way the fault of the hotel's.

The outdoor hot tubs and swimming pool provides you with a relaxing atmosphere, there is nothing like watching the steam rise as you stare at the mountain!

I highly recommend this resort and look forward to many future visits here!

Room Tip: If you are going to be wearing ski boots and plan on walking out of the room in them too the slopes...
