The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. A crackling fire warms the dining room and enhances the atmosphere making you feel right at home.

In addition to the outstanding food, one of the things that impressed me was the friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. My dining companions and I all chose items from the daily specials. Our selections could not have tasted better and the presentation was superb.

When it was time for dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream (we shared). Perfect for the "chocoholic” in all of us ..."Save room for this one, you won’t be disappointed."

My husband and I have dined at the West Dover Inn four times now. Every time, we try something new. We adore the crabcakes and the Smoked Applewood Pork is to die for. Each time we visit we are impressed to see the same servers, how they rave about about the fresh food, and they always remember us. The owner has visited us at least three times and once invited us into the tavern for an after dinner drink. We can highly recommend this restaraunt

We've tried this restaurant, housed in an attractive country inn, from time to time with mixed results. After seeing that the ownership had changed hands, we decided to give it another try.

The dining facilities include a tavern where you can get pub food - burgers, steak sandwiches, etc. and a formal dining room which was what we elected. The menu covered the gambit: appetizers with daily specials of spring rolls and ravioli; main course selections included fish, fowl, pasta and steaks. I chose the crabcakes to start. The one crabcake was nothing special. My wife, after being advised that her choice, an interesting sounding lobster dish was unavailable, chose a salad which proved to be mundane. For her main course, she had a dish featuring a breast of chicken which she enjoyed. I chose the duck which was passable.

While the restaurant is only open part of the week we were suprised to find that many of the dishes were unavailable due to a lack of ingredients including basics. Service was generally good.

Our feeling was that the restaurant was not one that we would hurry back to and that it was overpriced for what was delivered.
