“Can't get any fresher than this!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Enjoyed watching the cider press at work then being able to enjoy a free taste of apple cider. Definitely a tourist stop with lots of "goodies" to purchase. Step across the parking lot for a wine tasting of a local wine in the building next door.

“Fun place to see apple cider being made!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Easy to find location. Great place to stop for an hour or two, may be even have lunch. Enjoy walking around and seeing the many ways that apples are made into cider, donuts, pies, and other products. It is also a country store where you can find fine jams and novelty items usually found in such places.

“Delicious Cider and Donuts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

This was a nice stop to get some cider and walk around the store finding local goodies. The donuts were good, but would have been even better if they had been warm and fresh. As they were they were still delicious to take on the road with us and washed down with some fresh cider was a great treat.

“Cider, but not as we know it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

First for all of us European visitors cider in the US is not Cider as we know it. i.e. it relates to freshly squeezed applle juice which is non alcoholic (I thought it was cheap!) Having said that this is a good place to stop and have a wander around a quant store with homemade goods (food, wood, ceramics) firmly targeted at the tourist trade, but non the worse for that. The cider part is a very small area with glass fronted viewing areas where you can see Apples being minced then crushed. The pastries on sale are lovely and go well with a nice cup of coffee.
PS when we were there they were selling apples at 25cents a pound! Harvest season ...

“Eat, Drink and Shop!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Cold Hollow Cider Mill gives you the chance to see how cider is made, try free samples of cider, jellies/jams and fudge in a relaxed setting (if you are not there when the tour bus arrives). The on-site bakery makes fantastic cider donuts to eat and to take for the road. Hot cider was great and so was the coffee! Prices are very reasonable. The shop has a large variety of Vermont goodies to buy to take home --everything from maple syrup to foods to handcreams to quilted leaf potholders to mis-matched woolen socks and wooden toys and T-shirts! Well worth a stop!
