It was a wonderful B&B. We havent stayed in many because B&B's always seem to look and smell like "grandma's house". But this was an authentic log cabin. The breakfast was amazing. The property was beautiful- places to hike, fish, and just relax. We stayed in the Teddy Bear room- warning they have A LOT of teddy bears in there- they line 3 of the walls.
We came and went as we pleased. There was a hot tub but we didnt try it.
We saw- humming birds, fox, a mama bear and her cub, and fish jumping out of the pond. If you didnt want to leave the property you wouldnt have to.
The only downside was: If taxadermy turns you off then this is not the place to be. The owner is an avid hunter.

  • Liked — It was VERY CLEAN!!! That is hard to find.
  • Disliked — The teddy bears in the room- but the room was great!

My wife and I stayed at Moose Meadow lodge for two nights in June. The common areas of the log cabin lodge, our room, and our bathroom were all impeccably clean. The innkeepers were very attentive, perfectly friendly, and offered solid recommendations about local restaurants and activities.
The surroundings were accurately depicted in all the photos on their web site. We were offered a very nice private breakfast for two on their beautiful front deck in the morning.
We would certainly return for another stay when in the area.

My boyfriend and I wanted a weekend getaway from Cols, OH. The Moose Meadow Lodge was referred to us by friends and was the perfect place. Greg and Willie are the owners and they are great people. Very friendly, they make you feel welcome and relaxed. Willie makes gourmet breakfasts every morning with local foods. The lodge is very rustic with numerous "trophies" on the walls, many captured by Greg himself. The rooms are great, The Creel Room and Teddy Bear Room both have custom bathrooms with steam showers, I highly recommend either of these rooms. The beds are comfy with extra pillows in the closet. They also have bath robes for two in every room. The hot tub offers a nice way to relax after a long day of hiking etc. They are on 86 acres, so you can hike right on the property. The views are spectacular, right from the front porch. The surrounding cities offer alot of activities from biking and hiking to shopping and sightseeing. Vermont has alot of local breweries if you are into beer. Go to Burlington if you get a chance, its a great city to visit. I highly recommend the Moose Meadow!

Greg and Willie are running an excellent property! Moose Meadow Lodge is a wonderful rustic themed cabin B&B in the Waterbury, VT area. The home is very spacious with three rooms to choose from on the main level. We stayed in the Teddy Bear room and it is a treat. It has a nice view, queen size bed, rustic furnishings, teddy bears everywhere, and an absolutely wonderful two-person shower/steam bath with heated bathroom floors.

The lodge has a wonderful living room and great room where guests can relax, enjoy the company of other guests, play games, or just be at peace. Willie and Greg will answer questions or stimulate conversation when needed, but will definitely not be overbearing. The breakfasts are freshly prepared every morning and are very wonderful. Coffee, hot cocoa, and tea are available 24 hours. Digital cable is available in the great room. A hot tub is downstairs. Snow shoes are provided for a hike up hill to a beautiful place called the sky loft.

The lodge is close to downtown Waterbury, Waitsfield, and just about 20 minutes to the town of Stowe. Several good restaurants are nearby. Ben and Jerry's, Cold Hollow Cider, and Cabot Cheese are also a short drive away.

Stay here! It is a treat.

Willy & Greg have created something very special at Moose Meadow Lodge which has as much to do with their warm & hospitable personalities as with their beautiful 'log cabin' home.
They are both such consumate hosts...nothing is too much trouble & staying with them feels like being very special 'house guests'
We look forward to returning some day & exploring more of their stunning acreage...by the way, the hike up to the 'SkyLoft' is something not to be missed !

We can heartily recommend a stay in this unique & peacful haven in the Vermont mountains.
