While driving on I-89, we looked on tripadvisor for a place to stop. We opted for Waterbury area and the Prohibition Pig. We found on-street parking right in front off the restaurant. When we arrived there was not a wait for a table, but when we left, there were about 8 people waiting. We the brisket sandwich and the fried chicken sandwich (with an egg on top). The brisket was average; it contained some very black, tough (overcooked) pieces. My husband raved about the chicken, though. My son had the grilled cheese, and it was quite tasty and was obviously made using local ingredients. I had the duck fat fries, and they were crisp and tasty. However, my husband had the regular fries and they were just as good. In short, the modern, warm atmosphere and the good food made for an enjoyable pit spot on our road trip.
