The Beaver Pond Farm Inn was just what the doctor ordered for my girlfriend and I. We arrived late, Bob showed us around - I was hoping a cup of tea wasn't going to be too much to ask but before I could Bob showed us to the "honor bar" with wine, beer, tea, coffe and snacks. We made some tea and retired to the living room where a crackling fireplace welcomed us - just perfect on a chilly fall night.
A huge bonus for us was the Inn had WI-FI (wireless internet access). I know we try to get away from business and e.mail when we are on vacation but in our case it was a life saver. A proposal came up we had to work on and get out that night - so it was a life saver.
The room we stayed in was cozy and the bed was heavenly. Rich cotten linens and exquisite pillows - I've stayed in 4 star hotels that didn't have beds as nice. We had the best nights sleep out of four other Inns on our trip because of that bed. Cable TV in the room was a nice unexpected touch too.
The Inn was decored quite tastefully and felt very authentic. Not like some of the other Inns we stayed at that lacked a personal touch that Beaver Pond managed to capture.
Nancy cooked a great breakfast but before we left we needed to try the hot tub overlooking the valley. It was perfect. Cool air, hot tub, incredible view - what more could you ask for.
All I can say is we wish we had book the Beaver Pond Farm Inn for more then one night. Can't recommend it enough.
