Joined a few friends to ski MRG for the "Bullseye" snow of 22+ inches on Thursday! March 13th and by the time we were ready for dinner he suggested we try the Peasant. Wow, from the moment we walked in the service was very cordial and found us a table in the bar area. The waitress was. Colleen the daughter of the owner / chef and she had a full understanding of the menu, specials, ingredients and her own recommendations. We had the stew and a pasta dish with sausage which we all really enjoyed with the common review that the dishes are certainly rich. The set is a large portion and the pasta was just right. I heard the beautiful bartender say dishes are served relatively quick to one of the bar patrons and she was spot on, service is very good, we did have the house salad as starters so very simple and very good to kick off a rich meal. The owner / chef stopped by after our meal and we spoke for while on the background of the restaurant and his history, very interesting. Strongly recommend this restaurant for either a gathering of friends or if solo or two try to get a seat at the bar for drinks and dinner as I am sure you will not be disappointed. Ask for Colleen as your waitress....she may even be the hostess as well. Great discovery and a return trip for sure!
