We made a last minute decision to visit some friends in Waitsfield after a few days visiting Montreal. The inns recommended to us were booked solid so we called here. Although we had two children under the age of 4, the innkeeper Linda was very accommodating - putting us in one of the two cottages behind the main building. Even our late check in of 9pm didn't put her out. The room was very quiet, clean, and well appointed with nice views of the fields surrounding the property. The featherbed was so thick I was afraid our 1 year old would get lost in it and never return so we didn't use it - still the bed gave me the best nights rest of the entire vacation. As we had brunch with our friends in the morning we didn't get to sample the breakfast at FBI, but we did take advantage of the good coffee ready for us at 7am while the kids really enjoyed seeing the horses eat their breakfast in the barn out back. In sum, although brief, our stay here was just what we needed - one night of quiet comfortable rest.
