We had a tough time getting a reservation here, since apparently no one answers the phone until late afternoon. We had to settle for a 5:00 seating which is a bit early even for this old feller. But then came the appetizer -- fresh squid, lightly poached and gently marinated in oil, lemon, and herbs. I've been a calamari fan for decades, but I've never tasted squid like this. Superb! -- and a large portion, to boot. The entree, veal marsala was on the tough side, but the sauce was spot on. The pasta was several steps up from Prince and Mueller, and the red sauce was simple but delightful. The wine list was a fun read -- no old standards here -- and our glasses of modestly priced reds and whites were excellent. Sometimes it's hard to find good food at a reasonable price in a tourist town, but this well-run place is the exception.
