“Super Pizza and parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

Very tasty food, some big portions and very busy. You have to go through the bar which is a little off putting but the restaurant is great and the staff are good.

“Just like Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2011

The food and the service is the best we have found in the Stowe area. The owners are always there to greet you and have no problem changing some of the ingredients in the dishes on the menu. They also have a great wine list. If it is too busy there are always seats at the bar where you can enjoy a great meal and conversation with others.
No matter how busy they get it is never too noisy. Very relaxing there & it looks just like Italy.

“Delicious meal, fresh ingredients, and a great price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2011

My wife and I were looking for a casual dining place after a long day of tourist activity, and we found it at Trattoria La Festa in Stowe. atmosphere was cozy, and the service was outstanding and the staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered 2 different pasta dishes, and both were outstanding. it was exactly what we were looking for, and could not have been happier about the meal. The tortellini was delicious, and I recommend it with their rose sauce. Just be prepared for a garlic experience because it is heavily laden with grlick, which I happen to like. All in all a wonderful experience, and a strong recommendation for couples and families.

“Delcious Italian Fare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2011

We recently had dinner at this restaurant while vacationing in northern Vermont. Coming in out of a cold, rainy night, the warmth and aromas were very welcomed. We had reservations and were immediately seated. Our server was very efficient in getting our beverage orders (they have a limited but excellent wine list) and bring out bread and explained the various specials. My wife and son both had chicken parmesan while I ordered the tortellini, which was a bit too al dente for my taste; the sauce was the popular pink sauce with vodka--no peas or walnuts which are traditional with tortellini. Both my wife and son appeared satisfied with their chicken dishes, and appreciated that they could order smaller sized portions. Prices were fair for the type of food served. We were impressed that, as we were leaving, the owner stopped a conversation to thank us for dining at his restaurant. We did not experience this type of hospitality often enough on our travels through New England. One major criticism of this establishment is the deplorable parking lot. As I mentioned above, it was a wet evening and the parking lot was pure mud; in addition, there is zero lighting and if I were alone, I would feel uneasy in trying to find a parking place (no stripes, every driver for him/her self) and walking behind the restaurant to the entry door..

“A great dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2011

The restaurant is a few miles outside of Stowe at the base of Mt. Mansfield, It is an old house and barn wonderfully renovated.
Four of us arrived at 7 PM on a Saturday without a reservation. We were told by the hostess that we could not be seated for some time if at all. But she quickly said wait one moment and went a few steps a way and brought back the owner Antonio DeVito who was very gracious and explained that they were at their maximum evening seating of 155 persons. But possibly he could seat us at 9 PM, just then a local next to us at the bar who was listening said "Antonio surely you can fit these people in, let them get some drinks and sit on the porch, while you work something out." Antonio replied "Yes, what is the name?" - Caruso we said and he immediately brightened, he said "please go out on the porch and I will send someone to take your drink orders." A waiter followed us out and took our drink order and then suddenly two other servers appeared with table settings and menus. The first waiter returned within minutes with our drinks and said he would be back to take our dinner order. We were blessed with very good service the entire evening, The food was excellent! Reasonable prices. I highly recommend this restaurant.
