“Off season getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

The property is well laid out with several buildings, indoor spa and outdoor pool (not yet open), tennis court. Since it was off-season the restaurant was closed but lobby served good coffee and continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful with local advice and made reservations for dinner for us. Rooms were clean and equipment worked except window cranks were worn out. We used the tennis court which was in satisfactory condition.

Room Tip: Choose one in a building off the main road, as it will be quieter.

If you are looking for a great location to crash a a day of skiing, then you've got the right place. If you're looking for anything else keep moving...
Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk was less than cordial, she hardly cared to look up and proceeded to answer the phone and carry on a conversation without even pardoning herself, I had to interrupt her reminded her of my presence. I thought is was an isolated incident until I discussed with the two together families who came with us, they confirmed that she probably was not too happy to be working that day.
Anyway, the rooms are clean but are in desperate need of some updating.
The beds were not stellar but firm enough to allow you to sleep if not for the wind constantly rattling the doors ( they really need some installation around the doors, if for nothing else than to decrease their heating cost).
If there are many guest , You have to take a quick shower before the hot water runs out! The pool room is in a different building which was nice and warm but once in the hot tub you can see a film of filth which was beyond gross!!
But they really received an average rating because the people in the restaurant were soooo nice and the breakfast was delicious. So if your willing to get up most comforts for a wonderful breakfast, so so room and really nice restaurant staff, this is your place.

Rooms are a little older, service was great. Hot tub, pool and sauna were wonderfll after skiing. Breakfast wa great, wish it was served earlier than 7:30, we were late to the quad chair on a 14" powder day.

If you are looking for an upscale resort than this is not for you but if you want a family friendly place that is clean and reasonable than this is the place for you. The decor may be alittle dated but it is kept very clean. The pool and hot tub are in a seperate building with shower facilities and are kept very warm (Hot tub 104 F). Breakfast is also included with some of the packages and it is definately worth it.

I travel extensively in my job and spend a lot of time in hotels all over the world. i would recommend Town & Country to anyone looking to stay close to the Mountain, and seeking a great value in Stowe. We stayed Christmas to New Years . Kids loved the buffet breakfast and indoor pool, and getting to the mountain was a breeze - the Stowe shuttle stops in front of the lobby. Overall we had a great stay, and will stay there again.

For the price I paid during Xmas vaca it was decent. Do not get a room on the bottom floor. It sounded like everybody had ski boots on in the room above me. They didnt. 1 more issue....DO NOT DRINK from the coffee machine in your room. Look inside of it and you'll know why. The hotel bar is a nice little cozy place. If they got some live music and some more promotion it could be a fun place. All in all, for the price....decent.

The owner of the Hotel greeted us and explained that the family organised and ran the Hotel, our room was at the back and on the ground level, it was "Cosy", clean and had a comfortable bed, the bathroom had a shower over the bath with a shower curtain.
The reception is on the upper floor and has a P C with internet, not the fastest, but handy for those who did not have access.
The bar is downstairs combined with an area for evening dinner, which we had, Chicken etc, which has to be said was quite ordinary,a gratuity is automatically charged, the service was ordinary.
A previous reviewer commented on footsteps from the upstairs room, this was also the case for us,but did not stop us from sleeping.
there is an extensive room for breakfast but we did not have any so can not comment.
The only negative was the seemed reluctance for the bar person to serve us and I ended up having to call him to do so.
You may also be asked to share a table for evening dinner, we asked to be seated by ourselves but were seated with another couple, this did not bother us but I guess if you want to be seated on your own make sure they understand.
Ideal place for an overnight stay

Room Tip: choose upstairs to avoid foot step stomp
