“Fine Food & Fancy Redesign”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

Great Food . . . Cheese plate was tasty with a Honeycomb, Burger was rare with lovely side salad, Seasonal salad with Chevre was fresh with Nasturium.

The female bartender will do well to find another job. She was cold and inattentive. Our server was quite the opposite with years if experience and plenty if good-will.

“Worst service ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

Restaurant needs serious work! For the price of entrees service is expected to be polished... Far from it. They need a serious retool if they plan to be around in a year..no excuse for this poor a job.

“Cold atmosphere, ok food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

We tried Crop Bistro and found it did not live up to the Shed, which used to be in that location. The service was ok--when I ordered sparkling water the waitress didn't tell me it came in a liter bottle! The asparagus soup wasn't very flavorful; my husband's club sandwich was average.
The restaurant was chilly and dark and the stainless table tops added to that feeling.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2012

When we asked our B&B hosts to recommend some place simple for supper on Superbowl Sunday, they suggested the Crop [occupies the space previously the Shed]. They warned us that entrees were generally in the $20's. I was worried that it would be noisy and crowded with football fans, but it was neither crowded nor noisy in the dining room (the game was on the TV in the bar). Our choices (risotto and beef brisket) were delicious and each under $20. We sat near a big fireplace and thought that the dining room was attractive. At the end of our meal, we chatted for a few minutes with the chef, who had come out of the kitchen. We recommend it.

“Satisfaction for all the senses”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

The atmosphere was rustic but contemporary, very welcoming and homey. They had great beer selections, both local and foreign, and the server was very knowledgeable about the options. Our food was delicious, with just a hint of the unexpected. It had a very fresh, homemade presentation, and we appreciate the focus on local quality ingredients. We left our experience feeling utterly satisfied and will definitely come back for more!
