Smarter than average motel accommodation in a splendid setting.

We have stayed in a lot of US Motels and are used to good value, tidy rooms. The Stowe is top-end motel style and set in extensive, well tended grounds.

The free bicycle "hire" was a very much appreciated extra, enabling us to explore the town via the impressive 6 mile cycle way. The inclusive breakfast topped of the stay perfectly.

We stayed in one of the on-site houses, Kelly's Dream, with a party of 9 family members. The house was immaculately clean and well-equipped. None of the adults found the beds extremely comfortable, but all things considered we were very satisfied with our stay. The layout of Kelly's Dream gave us privacy as well as comfortable common areas in which to socialize. We made breakfast in the full kitchen each morning.

We were in Stowe for a wedding, and my kids were not too thrilled about the trip. One walk through Kelly's Dream, with a ping pong table and hot tub in the basement, and a stream in the backyard, and they were sold. "Best hotel ever" in their opinion.
We made use of both pools and the free bikes/helmets. The paved recreation trail is just behind the property and very easy to access. The property is conveniently located to many attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Stowe motel for the first time in 1997 and have been back there somewhere from fourteen to sixteen times since, the most recent of which was this past weekend. Circumstances or special deals prompted us to stay elsewhere on the other four trips, but ultimately we have reverted to our favorite.

The complex is made up of two motels, Stowe Motel and Snowdrift and has a large variety of motel rooms, suites, efficiencies, apartments and even cottages which are managed by the property. We have stayed in most types of room with the single "value" apartment our favorite and the value rooms (except 113?) our least favorite, although off-season we have often been upgraded. The rooms are clean and are updated from time to time. The grounds are in a word pristine and there are two pools, tennis, a game room, hot tub etc. There is also a free buffet continental breakfast in season.

The Stowe Motel location is perfect! It is right next to the recreation path and an easy drive to the village, Mt Mansfield and the Trapp lodge. There are also several restaurants within a five minute walk.

Best of all are the management - very friendly and helpful and if you stay there once you will receive offers for returning guests at least once every year.

Still not convinced? There are other good places to stay in Stowe such as Golden Eagle resort and others, but for us there is no contest.

I used to live in Stowe but never stayed at the Stowe Motel & snowdrift, actually coldnt even remember it. Then last summer my fiance and I decided to stay because it was close to everything, had a bike rental, pools, and right by the stream and bike path.

We were so happy, he'd never been to Vermont before and loved it ! The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly, no problems its a superisingly nice stay for such a affordable place !

My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Stowe Motel during President's week 2008. We stayed in one of the deluxe fireplace suites, which had two bedrooms, and a large combined eat-in kitchen and living room. Our 13-year old daughter appreciated having a room to herself, after being relegated to the pull-out couch during past ski vacations. The kitchen was more than sufficient, and a big cost savings for all the breakfasts, and two dinners that we ate in the room.

There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance (Piecasso and Cactus Cafe), but we didn't try either one. The shuttle bus to the mountain and village stops right at the motel, which is very convenient.

The front desk was very helpful in providing restaurant and shopping recommendations. We would definitely come back to stay here any time of year. If I had one complaint, it would be that the beds consisted of a very nice queen in the smaller room, and a king in the larger room. The 'king' bed was really two twin beds pushed together with a king-sized headboard. Had our daughter been more accommodating, we would have taken the queen-sized bed, and given the king-sized bed to her. Alas, the word concession is not in her vocabulary.
