“Substantial and good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

Discovered this place last summer. We love it. The food is excellent with things like shepards pie. Large portions, good selection of beer and the service is very, very good.

“So good we went back two nights in a row!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2014

The first time we dined here was years ago after an exhausting day snowboarding in Stowe. We had the steak with lobster tail ... What a feast! We have been a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. They have a nice wine list and a good selection of beers. Their mojito was worthy of a tropical paradise. This year, we did a full day of kayaking down the winooski, and had a lovely dinner... And the next day we hiked up the long trail path to the chin, and the family insisted on going back for dinner a second night in a row. Chowder, steak, steak and brownie yesterday and tonight, oysters, chowder, steak and maybe the best turkey sandwich ever, brownie and crime brûlée. Try it for yourself! We heard one couple loved it so much they dined there five nights in a row. We might have dined again if we were not leaving in the morning!!!!

“Jamison's Chocolate Torte”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

I seem to always start off my reviews with the dessert. Such is life. This torte was to die for. This was a slice of the most dense chocolate torte I have ever had, with two ample scoops of whipped cream on top, and cherry glaze on the underside. My entree was prime rib (they were featuring it this night), with fully loaded baked potato, and corn on the cob. The service was the best courtesy of Larissa who made sure our every wish and desire was met. The woman who took our reservation, greeted me by first name hours later, when we arrived to take our table. A great experience throughout.

“Best find in Stowe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Connor and crew were the best. Service was fast great and friendly. Food, drink and hospitality were great. It is a family run business and we felt like part of the family five minutes after we arrived.
Would not got to Stowe without stopping by O'Grady's ever again.

“Big Surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

I was happily surprised that they had an awesome wine list with well known choices. I had filet mignon and my husband had prime rib - both were excellent. The bartender was very friendly and efficient. This is a family owned establishment, which I loved. Both owners came out to greet us and chat for a bit. If you like a friendly atmosphere with excellent food (and wine), make sure you stop in!
