“Nice food, good service, but I fear not long for this world if business is anything to go by.”
So, the mountain is heaving, and making it to the village is a real jam. So we stopped-by and were greeted in a very open, friendly manner. The buffet was just being prepared, so everything was fresh. Very good, and great value.
We enjoyed the food, which is obviously prepared with care.
But here is the thing....almost no-on else called-in while we were there. With Stowe heaving, these guys should be minting it. But they weren't. And I would say that sadly it looks like a destructive circle: With low turnover, that buffet is going to get old, or need freshing. If it's old, then folks won't come back. If it's refreshed unsold, costs will go up for the folks running it. Clearly the decor needs a makeover.
Somehow these guys need to tap into all that passing trade, otherwise it's going to fail, which would be sad.
So, in the meantime: if you want a good value, tasty Chinese meal, this remains a reasonable option.... for now.
