We stayed here for a wedding and the hotel has not been recently renovated. The rooms felt old and stale. If it were not for the 2-night minimum we'd have moved to another location. Take a look at the room before you stay, if you're not particular, then this may work for you.

We stayed for one night due to a wedding nearby. Stowe is popular area during winter, hence, if you are visiting you wouldn't really care about lodging since all the fun is outside. We stayed in a room with double beds. Room was outdated. My wife is a hotel snob because of many nuce hotels we stayed at during the honeymoon times of our marriage, so she was very critical of the room. Everything in the room reminded us of 1980s.
If you are there for one night, you should be ok and might even enjoy fuzzy picture on the wooden Zenith tv. Rooms need major renovation.

The front desk staff was very uncustomer friendly and indifferent to my wife's request to have us checked in earlier. There are polite ways to explain why we couldn't check in an hour earlier, but this Vermonster needed some customer service traning.

Not all rooms need renovation at this place. Our in-laws stayed at the larger suite that looked like a townhouse and it was more up to current standards.

Pick wisely and don't stay here, unless you are attending 1980s convention.

Stayed here for a wedding. The room was very large for the price, and it was close to the mountain and the town. Staff was great.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Stowe where we celebrated our son's wedding. Our stay was wonderful -- the Inn was full of the out-of-town guests and all were treated with helpfulness, professionalism and friendliness. I want to mention particularly the helpfulness of Manager Don Hall and Caryn at the front desk. Don took care of a plumbing problem, a guest's need for a car mechanic, a problem with an unswipable card, our large group's many needs, etc. -- all done quickly and without question. The Inn is charming -- and the people who work there are exceptional.

Our large group stayed at the Inn at the Mountain and surrounding condo properties for a wedding and family reunion. The accomodations were great with a large, comfortable room for the entire family to enjoy and the staff was exceptional, making for a memorable and comfortable trip. From suggestions on local activities to finding an available mechanic for car trouble, the staff went out of their way to ensure that the group had all they needed. The front desk manager was personally available for any guest needs. Thanks for the wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!

Several friends of mine ended up renting a 3 bedroom condo for a weekend ski trip and we were all very impressed with the accommodations. The owner of the condo had outfit the unit wonderfully, and the size was great for all nine of us. There was plenty of space and our per person cost was impressively low. Service at the hotel was great and friendly, but the buffet breakfast suffered from lack of space.

Dear Valued Guest,

We are very glad that you had a pleasant time. Our team has been working hard to continually raise our guest service standards, as well as the quality of our units – It is wonderful to read your feedback. We agree that the Inn is a great option for groups, as well as for individuals, couples, and families. We offer units from standard Inn rooms all the way up to a large five-bedroom cottage. Also, thank you for your feedback about the lack of space for our breakfast buffet – this is an issue that we believe we have largely resolved. We hope you will join us again!

Sincerely,

Donald Hall

I booked a ski club trip for 27 through Classic Ski Tours. The hotel they recommended was the Inn at the Mountain. I was very pleased with the whole experience. The staff at the Inn were all excellent. Each staff person was pleasant and eager to provide us with a good experience. Though the Inn is somewhat worn the location is excellent. The rooms are large and comfortable. I would recommend to any group looking for a good value trip to Stowe.
