“Beautiful, but overpriced!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

The gondola ride is a dun experience, but at $25 per person I'd recommend the trip to Jay Peak 45 miles to the North. The Tram ride to the peak is both beautiful and thrilling. Best of all the round trip ride is only $10. There are mant other activities offered at the resort including a year round water park, ice skadium and several restaurant choices making the 45-60 minute drive worth it. Unfortunately, the gondola ride at beautiful Mt. Mansfield is WAY too over priced.

“Great Hiking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

There are many trails that you can take in and around the area. The view at the top is spectacular! We hiked one of the more aggressive trails and it was all worth it when we finally reached the summitt. Highly recommended for those who like both scenic and interactive experiences with a good laborious hike!

“Great late fall drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

We drove up through the mountain rd, stoped at shops, had a glass of wine at a pull off next to a stream in the cool sunny clearing on the sun warmed rocks. Nice change in foilage from top to base.

“Awesome Natural Wonder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

You can enjoy Mount Mansfield (the highest peak in Vermont) from several vantage points. You can simply drive around the Stowe/Pleasant Valley/Underhill area ( or as far away as the Champlain Valley) and view the mountain from your car; Or you can hike/climb it as I have done ( but be prepared for a challenge- at least a days excursion!) Or you can take the toll road up as far as it goes and then hike the rest of the way to the "Chin": Or you can take the Gondola up to the restaurant near the summit (reservations required). No matter what you choose, this is a spectacular experience and is highly recommended. I never grow tired of this mountain. The views are incredible!
