I'd read about various different breweries in and around Burlington, and liked the sound of the set up at Fiddlehead = taste the beers, buy a growler (or 2), drink your beer next door whilst enjoying a pizza at Folino's.
They had 3 beers available to taste; a Kolsch, a Hefeweizen, and a Porter, they were out of their IPA. I really liked both the Kolsch and the Hefeweizen, I didn't like the Porter. We bought a growler of the Hefeweizen - Hef You. $13, which included the $3 for the growler, they also had growlettes at $9? I think?
Tastings were free, smallish glasses though. There was a tips jar for the friendly bartender. Only complaint was that he just poured the beers and gave them to us to try with no explanation or description of each beer.
Small tasting room with most people actually just coming in to refill / buy growlers rather than specifically to taste the beers.
We (3 of us) polished our growler off pretty quickly at Folino's next door, especially as we had a short wait for a table. I ended up nipping back to Fiddlehead for a refill on the growler - $10 for the refill.
I'd definitely purchase from Fiddlehead again if we are ever back in the area.
