I'm usually not tough on motels, but this was a miserable stay on an otherwise great trip. When we arrived, we found that parking was going to be a problem. Evidently, folks at nearby condominiums park in their lot, which is already not big enough to handle the guests. It was impossible to find parking close to the front to check in. It took nearly ten minutes to find any space at all, and it was a long uphill walk to the front desk, which was unmanned for at least five minutes before the night clerk appeared.
I finally found the room; their numbering system is confusing and NOT self-explanatory. After telling them in advance that my wife cannot climb stairs, they put us in a second-floor room. When I complained, they found a far back corner room at the right end of the property. It was a partially converted ex-kitchenette room that was tiny, smelly, and had lousy beds and a noisy AC. The bathroom was good, though. I had to park as far away as it was possible on the property from our room just to find ANY space to unload our luggage, since I lost the space I used for check-in when I moved the car. Handicapped parking was totally inadequate. This property is pretty big, and it's on several levels with stairs, no elevators, where I needed to go. It took several trips in the rain to get all of our stuff to the room. Ice machines & vending? Other end of the property. Laundry room? Other end of the property. With dozens of rooms near, none of the obvious amenities you expect at any motel.
The next morning, I noticed a couple of spaces open, so I ran to the opposite end of the property to get my car and was lucky to get a space very close to the room. It made loading in the rain much easier, and we made as quick an escape as we could. We didn't even try for breakfast there.
Good price for the area, but be aware of problems, particularly with parking and lack of elevators.

You have been a valued guest at our hotel and I am sorry that you were not given layout of our hotel at check in late night which we always do. We also didn't receive the special request you mentioned needing a ground floor room otherwise we would've done so and kept you close to lobby where you can park in the front.
