“Fun stop on the way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Nice stop after getting off the plane before heading to Stowe for the week. Factory tour was fun, and cute for the kids. Fun to find your own special bear. Our son loved it! There's a modest fee to take the tour but anyone can shop.

“teddy bear factory”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

My daughter loved the teddy bear museum and the build your own bear part. It is close to the hotel we stayed at and the tour was reasonable for the price.

“Fun even for adults”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We didn't plan to do this tour since we were 3 adults and had no plans to buy a teddy bear but since it was raining, we had time to kill and we were right near the factory we took the tour and ended up having a good time. The tour is clever, the bears are cute and you get a cute bear button to take home.

“A Must Visit for Kids of all Ages!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is clearly oriented for kids, any where from 2 to 99! The tour, $3 for adults, is pretty good. Our guide, George was terrific, and probably hit every "bear/bare" joke you have ever heard! The prices in the gift shop are high, but so is the quality of the product. The eyes on the bears will not come off (safe for little ones), the arms are permanently attached, and the product is partially hand made. The bears are guaranteed for life - really! No matter what happens, even if the dog eats it or dad runs it through the grass mower - just send it back, and they will fix it in the "teddy bear hospital", or they will replace it. I haven't seen this kind of a guarantee since the real old days of Macy's in New York. The factory and store were built especially for the Vermont Teddy Bear Co., and may look a little too cute - but remember this is mostly for kids. This is definitely a worthwhile stop when you are in the Burlington, VT area. By the way, you can buy a bear that is 14" tall, or one that is 6' tall! Enjoy

“Cute and Cuddly Bears! A Must-See if you are in Shelburne.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Let me begin by saying I'm not really a teddy bear fan. However, I fell in love with the Vermont Teddy Bear Company. The building is colorful with lots of opportunities for great family photos. Inside, the sheer array of bears that have been beautifully arranged will make anyone want to adopt one. The tour is cheap, and they even give you a piece of fur in the shape of a teddy as a souvenir. The workers are sewing away right in front of you, and you really learn what goes into making these delightful bears. Yes, the bears are pricey, but it's still a great experience. I had mine personalized on location with a sash that said my name. The lady who personalized my bear was super friendly and chatty, though it took her a few tries to get the personalization right. My entire family had a wonderful experience.
