“Excellent Time at the Farm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

We booked Sunday breakfast and we were not disappointed...Farm fresh and delicious. Then walked around the 400+ acres of land...views of the lake are magnificent....stop by the barn to milk the cows and goats....buy the bread and cheese at their shops..we really had a great day so much to do

“Wished We Got There Sooner!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

It was late in the day when we arrived here and we just missed the last tour of the property. We did hike to the sheep barn and it was a very pleasant hike. There is an interesting "musical" sculpture along the way that you would not have seen if you hadn't hiked. We also purchased some cheese from their gift shop and all flavors were delicious! Next time, we'll go earlier!

“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

I took my young son to Shelburne farms, but really, I think I loved it even more than him =) What an incredible place. The entrance fee is a little pricey, about $11 per person, and kids free....but its totally worth it. Upon arrival there is a small gift shop where you can sample different cheeses made there, jams, mustards, etc. Then a tractor comes and picks you up and takes you into the farm. Its a beautiful property with amazing views. The farm is a gorgeous building, where kids can milk cows, pet baby goats, pick up chickens, find eggs, pet sheep, and run around. There is also a huge play area inside the bard where kids can dress up, draw, play. etc. Behind the barn area, there is a huge yard with pigs, turkeys, donkeys and a garden where kids can pick vegetables to feed the goats. I have never seen my son happier. The staff seems to really love their jobs, and are very kind and knoledeable with both animals and kids.
There is a bakery and an amazing food cart that sells incredible locally grown meals. I had a fantastic vegetarian chilli and organic salad. There are picnic tables to sit and enjoy while the kids play around. This place is a must go, if you love animals and/or have kids.

“Just plain gorgeous”

One of my favorite places in the area. Shelburne Farms is a step back in time, whether you stop at the Farm Barn or are lucky enough to stay overnight in one of the rooms at the Inn.
