Thank goodness the Shelburne Museum exists! Here's a great place to learn about local history or just gaze at some of the collections.

“Incredible, unmissable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

Oh we completely loved this place, a real gem! The staff were all so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made the visit a real treat. The vision of the museum is inspiring and makes your visit a totally involving experience. Your ticket is valid for two days and although we only intended to stay for one day, we ended up going back the second day and we still didn't get round it all.

“My son loves the Ticonderoga”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

He cannot get enough of that boat. Loves how he can walk around and explore all facets of this once real-life steam boat. It's fun to watch him enjoy it!

“Not your usual museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

What a fabulous experience! Beautiful grounds with many different buildings housing the different exhibits throughout the property. There is something of interest for everyone. We spent 7 hours there from when it opened at 10:00 AM to closing at 5:00 PM and only saw 6 of the exhibits and had lunch at the cafe. There was so much more to see. You really do need the 2 days the ticket is good for.Lots of benches on the grounds to sit and rest if you have difficulty walking. Some of the exhibits had tours and the tour guides were very well informed and very friendly. It is truly worth the trip ( we cam from NJ ). I would highly recommend it.
