The room that we booked on line was not even available so we were not upgraded, but downgraded. The cleaning staff did the bare minimum during our week long stay. We ran out of toilet paper and were told we would have to come to the front desk to get it if we wanted it that night. Half way through our stay we were allowed to move to a different room when a mouse started freely roaming aroung our room. If there wouldn't have been a big hassel getting a refund on the room, I would have moved to a different hotel and spent more money just to get some basic service and a clean comfortable room.

Nice Red Roof. Motel was having a lot of renovations going on but did not interfer with my comfort. Very large lawn for walking my dog under beautiful trees. Quiet and very comfortable.
Convenient to restaurants and stores.
Would stay again.

Former Howard Johnson Motor Inn in South Rutland, exterior as stated, looking badly rehabed..but the room was fine and a decent upgrade..stayed here many times over the years for skiing, and it is far more reasonable than places on Killington.
Room was well equiped.

Stayed at the Red Roof Inn for a night and it was great. The outside needs some fixing up, but the inside especially the rooms look like they have been renovated and it is really nice. There is a nice pool and the breakfast is great with waffles and a fancy coffee machine with lattes and stuff. The room was nice and clean and did not have a trouble at all. And it is located within walking distance to restaurants. I ate at the 99 Restaurant, one of the best meals I had on the whole trip!
