The Kitchen Table is in an old house and the first thing I noticed when we walked in was the delicious smell of dinner. All the staff were warm, welcoming, and appropriate. The rooms are very nicely done and seating is comfortable. Lighting is just right. Acoustics perfect - this is not a restaurant where you end up hoarse from trying to have a conversation amid fashionable clatter and chatter - it is a convivial place where you settle comfortably in, converse wth your companions, and enjoy superb food that is flawlwssly served and presented. The waitress and chef accondated us with a little starter that was no longer on the menu - making us feel like they really wanted us to have exactly what we wanted. All the food is locally grown and raised, the menu varied and generous - and the food itself was wonderful. The wait staff were very nice. This was the kind of meal where you wake up next morning and want to go back for more.
